Stew Season mix

Great homemade seasoning mix for all your stews!

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup AP flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika use smoked paprika for a smokey flare!
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • ½ tablespoon celery seed
  • ½ tablespoon dried basil
  • 3 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon umami seasoning see notes

Instructions
 

  • Put all ingredients in a pint sized mason jar, put the lid on and shake well.
  • Keep in a cool dry place, should keep for at least 6 months. I use 1.5-2 tablespoon per pound of meat. If making a vegetarian or vegan stew, use the same amount per pound of veggies/beans/lentils. Play around with the amount of seasoning to your liking!

Umami seasoning - only the best thing I have found since sliced bread!! You can find this delicious seasoning at Trader Joe's, most grocery stores, or Amazon. Both versions I list are amazing and we love it in a variety of dishes. Do your tastebuds a favor and do NOT omit this!!!
